Date Night

Ok so I've been complaining to my friends about how long its been since I been on a date. And knowing me I'm not talking about your average casual trip to Nandos, I'm talking the wine and dine type thing where I'm all dolled up and given the most romantic time of  my life *cue soft slow music*. I even tried to send subliminal messages on my Intsagram page by posting this seen below

And of course no one cared enough to reach out to my cry for help LOL. So anyway low and behold your girl finally got to go out on a date. Well I wouldn't call it a date as it was with an old friend I had not seen in a while and I'm sure he would not call it a date but yes I'm calling it one :-)
So here's how it went down. A day in the week I bumped into an old friend (male of course). And for the first time mid way through conversing I'm like 'So what are you doing this Saturday lets go out'. This is very unlike me as I'm a little shy, and until now I'm not sure if that was new found confidence creeping in or the help of alcohol I had consumed prior to seeing him. So yeahhh he's like yes he's free we could go out to eat. We arranged a day, time and place. Now of course I told my bestie, and she got me hyped like 'Gurlllll you better werrrqqqqq' that night. In translation that meant, I better have me something hot to wear and make an impression whether or not I like this guy or not. And obviously I did.

I had work in the morning and through out my shift I start re-enacting various scenarios that could happen on this "date" in my head (sad i know). Then it hit me how long it had actually been since I was even close to a man. Something as small as kissing I started to think shit can I even perform. I mean honestly its been that long that I doubt very much I remember how to kiss a man (sad but very true its been LONG guys).

So I get home from work and my gurl friend had met me at home to help prep me up for this date. Spent a good couple hours picking and choosing what outfit to wear along with shoes. Now as I'm now a young lady I believe the only time I should be wearing flat shoes is to work and casual meetings with my friends, ain't no body dressing up to go eat with the girlies (apologies to my gurlies reading this). With that being said I thought to try this new thing where I wear heels out on a date. Which of course I did. They were not high but it sure wasn't a kitten heel, it was high enough to make my legs look sexy (yes that's right I brought my legs out and wore a skirt).

In the process of getting dressed I'm getting all nervous yet excited, I mean this was the most excitement I'm yet to get in a LONG time *sighhhh*. I even wore my red lippy which I believe makes me look a little older. There's nothing worse than dating a guy who sees you as jail bait :-(

Cut the story short I get ready, I'm also late which is expected from women. I see him and he says 'You look nice'. That moment I felt I was #Winning (LOOOL). We went to a nice Thai restaurant. The food was delish the service was questionable but I shall be reviewing that another time but the company was even better. It's been a while since I was out with someone and had a decent time. Conversations were great and he made me laugh/smile which is always a bonus. I must stress this guy is not my boyfriend nor is he someone I am seeing/dating just my friend before he reads this and thinks SHIT, WHAT THE FUCK (loool hey boo).

So ladies, if its been a while since you've had a reason to go out to eat or socialize with the opposite sex I suggest you make that move. Even if its an old friend you've not seen or spoken to in a while, drop em a text like 'hey wanna get something eat'. Like whats the worst that could happen you could end up having a fun night out like I did. Free food and drinks why the hell not, although it helps if this person is pretty good looking, as it gives you something yummy to look at rather than cringe when he tries to flirt with you cos that's not fun (trust me I know).

Happy Dating Ladies xx
